Gurara waterfall spans about 300 meters across and drops 50 meters below.
It shines under the sun, as beautiful as fireworks, and falls into a pond below.
Gurara River is a large tributary of the famous River Niger. Small streams diverted from the main Gurara River, running softly around the rocks on top of the cliff, converging from scores of tributaries in the narrow rugged pass and dashing out from the cliff with thunderous might.
Gurara Falls is most impressive after the rainy season when the water becomes a raging torrent. It is safest to swim in the river during dry season when the water levels are low and calm.
